Wizards vs. Pelicans GameThread

Wizards look to keep the momentum towards the 10th seed going as they kick off the first game of their four-game homestand.

The Wizards return home after an impressive 4-2 bi-coastal road trip that featured a victory over the team with the best record in the NBA, the Utah Jazz. Wizards come home for a four game homestand starting tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Pelicans are led by their all-star forward Zion Williamson and all-star snub Brandon Ingram, who are both having great seasons.

Both teams enter this game late in the season with something to play for. The Wizards are only a game out of the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference, which would make them eligible for the play-in tournament at the end of the season. The Pelicans are two games out of the 10th seed in the Western Conference. A win by either team would enhance their team’s chances of making the play-in game for their respective conferences.

Can the Wizards keep their hot streak going? Can they find a way to stop Zion? Should be an entertaining game. Let’s get the discuss started.
