Wizards results: Nearly 90 percent of fans believe the team is heading in the wrong direction

I’m writing these results as we speak on Saturday morning after having received the results a couple days ago. Sorry for delays since work got in the way. I also had an all-nighter and need to try to get some sleep before another all-nighter since the Wizards have a game tonight against the Phoenix Suns.
But as you can see from the photo above, fan confidence has remained very low. Only 12 percent of fans were confident that Tommy Sheppard and Scott Brooks are doing a good job — or that Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal are doing a good job — take your pick on which side to blame, the front office/coaches or players.
As usual, our response numbers have remained consistent which I’ve mentioned in past surveys regarding our consistent range of 50ish people. So it’s not like only 9 people responded.
Washington went 1-4 from Mar. 29 to Apr. 5. While a 132-124 win over the Indiana Pacers was always welcome. the Wizards’ four game losing streak also included a 120-91 blowout loss to the Detroit Pistons on April 1, the worst team in the East. They then followed it up with a 103-101 loss to the Raptors ... at the buzzer. The Wizards were 17-32 at the time the survey ended, so it was notable that fan confidence actually inched up. Maybe we’re confident in the team possibly delivering a high lottery pick.
Given that Washington just won two in a row (and possibly more if they beat Phoenix tonight — or is it tomorrow?), I anticipate the next SB Nation NBA Reacts survey to have a higher degree of fan confidence. That said, I’m still not confident in them and haven’t been all season...

Our national questions focus on which teams have the best chance of making the NBA Finals. In the West, a plurality of fans believe the Lakers will make the Finals even though they are just fifth in the standings as of today. Here’s the specific breakdown since it was pretty close:
- Lakers 30%
- Jazz 27%
- Nuggets 22%
- Clippers 15%
- Suns 7%

As for the East, fans believe that the Nets, the current regular season leaders will make the Finals. Here’s the breakdown:
- Nets 74%
- Bucks 16%
- Sixers 10%
