Plaisance comes to the Mystics after being on two previous teams in her career. She was drafted in the 2014 WNBA Draft by the Tulsa Shock (Dallas Wings) in the third round where she was for five seasons. After that Plaisance spent time with the Connecticut Sun in 2019.
Head Coach Mike Thibault expressed the team’s excitement of having Plaisance with Washington.
“We are excited to welcome Theresa to the Mystics. She is a versatile post player who can play both inside and on the perimeter and particularly fits our style of play,” Thibault said. “She has spent the off season getting herself healthy and ready to contribute and will provide us the depth we need to compete for a championship.”
