The Washington Wizards still have Bradley Beal after the 2021 NBA Trade Deadline. While NBA teams didn’t aggressively pursue Beal around the deadline, they are also playing the long game. After all, the Wizards are continuing to lose game after game even though Beal still puts up 30 point performance after 40 point performance. Beal’s loyal to D.C., but he admitted that he has limits too.
So it should be no surprise that he is quite possibly the NBA’s most coveted trade target this summer. According to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, up to five teams are ready to make a move for him this summer.
The four teams looking to make a move for him this summer include the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and New Orleans Pelicans. In addition, the Toronto Raptors are a “sleeper” team, per a source of O’Connor’s.
It will be an interesting summer to say the least, regardless of how much Beal says he loves Monumental Sports & Entertainment, or how much the Wizards publicly say that they want to keep him for a long time. At some point, the Wizards could get an offer they can’t refuse. Do you think it will be this summer? Let us know in the comments below.
