One of the cool things about NBA Trade Deadline time isn’t so much about who gets traded. Sometimes, it’s more about how many times a player is traded before reaching his final destination.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Moritz Wagner was traded by the Chicago Bulls to the Boston Celtics in a deal involving Daniel Theis. He was previously traded to the Bulls from the Washington Wizards.

For Wagner, going to the Bulls from the Wizards is certainly an upgrade based on team performance since Chicago is currently 10th in the Eastern Conference and has a better chance of making the NBA Playoffs. But in Boston, Wagner should have a better shot of getting in the Round of 16, since the Celtics are currently eighth in the East. It won’t be easy for Wagner to earn consistent playing time like he did for Washington, but at least he’ll have the opportunity to get some postseason reps once the regular season ends in May.
