The Washington Wizards lost to the Milwaukee Bucks, 133-122 on Monday night at Capital One Arena.
Though Washington shot over 50 percent from the field tonight, they allowed the Bucks to shoot 55.3 percent. And though Bradley Beal scored 37 points and Russell Westbrook added 23 points and 17 assists, it wasn’t enough, even with Rui Hachimura adding 22 points.
The Wizards allowed Giannis Antetokounmpo to get a triple double (31 points, 10 assists, 15 rebounds) and they also allowed the Bucks to lead by as many as 26 points in the middle of this game.
In short, the Wizards lost this game by 11 points, but it seemed like Washington lost by a lot more. Yes, they were able to get the deficit down to five points at one point in the fourth quarter, but they were fighting from behind for the duration of this game. Washington was effectively DOA tonight unfortunately and are now 14-24 in the season.
The Wizards’ next game is against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, Mar. 17. See you then.
