On Thursday, the Washington Wizards announced that Bradley Beal will sit out Friday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers. Ava Wallace of The Washington Post made the announcement on Friday during pre-game shootaround.
Bradley Beal is out tonight. He got treatment twice yesterday and this morning but is still a bit sore, so Wizards are being cautious

It is unfortunate that Beal will not be able to play tonight, especially with this game being the home opener. The Wizards aren’t just coming into tonight’s game with a 1-0 record. They also come into the game with the league’s best defensive rating.
NUMBER ONE DEFENSE IN THE NBA!!!

I get it, the Wizards only played one regular season game. But still. We need to highlight this positive achievement, even if it lasts for a day or two.
With Beal out, it’s likely that they will play some combination of Raul Neto, Davis Bertans and Corey Kispert more. Kispert did not play a single minute in the opener, and that has already given fans a negative taste in their mouths. Hopefully Beal is not out for too long.
