Earlier this week, we asked you how confident you are in the Wizards’ direction. We had OVER 300 RESPONSES, SO THANK YOU ALL FOR THE BUY-IN!
It goes without saying that Wizards fans are confident in the team’s direction right now. Seventy-two percent of you are confident, and this survey closed before their season opener again the Raptors last Wednesday!
I will go over a deep dive as to why fans were confident in the Wizards this weekend, as well as over the other questions in our team-specific survey, which focuses heavily on vaccine passports, and the like. Stay tuned!
National Results: Luka Doncic the MVP favorite, Giannis not far behind!

Not a surprise that the best NBA players are from Europe, right? Kidding (but not kidding) aside, it is not a surprise that Doncic, Antetokounmpo and Durant, the top three players in this poll, are projected to be among the contenders.
Unfortunately, Bradley Beal didn’t get any votes here. that said, his stock on DraftKings, at least in the day-to-day short term, will be just fine.
Yes, so you know, DraftKings sponsored this post.
National Results: Cade Cunningham the ROY favorite with Jalen Green not far behind

Like the MVP question, there isn’t much of a surprise here, given that Cunningham is the top pick of this year’s draft with 31 percent of the vote.. Houston Rockets rookie Jalen Green was close behind with 28 percent of the vote.
National Results: Nets favored to win the East, Lakers for the West

Like many of the national media polls, there is little surprise that the Brooklyn Nets (perhaps even without Kyrie Irving), are favored to win the Eastern Conference to face off against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Western Conference favorites in SB Nation NBA’s preseason survey.
That said, the defending Eastern Conference and NBA Champs, the Milwaukee Bucks, were the second most favored team in the East. The Phoenix Suns, the defending Western Conference Champions, were tied to be the second most favored team in the West in our survey. While the national media seems to want to see a Brooklyn vs. Lakers Finals, there seems to be an appetite to see a repeat of last year’s series as well.
But this is a surprise. Of all the respondents nationally, two percent picked the Wizards to win the East, tied for eighth. Then again, so were the four percent of respondents picking the Bulls to win the East. I guess they’re outliers.
We’ll have another survey next week to track your confidence in the Wizards, as well as other topics in and around the NBA. And if you haven’t already, click here to sign up for SB Nation NBA Reacts.
