The Washington Wizards have now finished the preseason with an 0-4 record. But there is more events that have given Washington cause to pause. Bradley Beal has also suffered an injury, albeit a minor one.

During yesterday’s game against the New York Knicks, Beal played just nine minutes and scored 5 points on 2-of-4 shooting. The Wizards later on during the game announced that he was out due to a right knee contusion.

After the game, head coach Wes Unseld, Jr. said that Beal’s injury didn’t appear to be anything “substantial.” Thankfully, David Aldridge of The Athletic reported that the Wizards remain hopeful that Beal will return to practice tomorrow, even though he is still receiving treatment.

Beal and the Wizards will begin their regular season this Wednesday when they play the Toronto Raptors at ScotiaBank Arena. Their first home game will be next Friday, Oct. 22 vs. the Indiana Pacers.
