How to watch: LeaguePass, MSG Network

Injury Report

Wizards: Thomas Bryant, Cassius Winston, Rui Hachimura (Out)

Knicks: Mitchell Robinson (Out), Nerlens Noel (Day-to-Day)

Pregame notes

This is a must win (well, not really) — The Wizards had a lot of turnaround this off-season. We all know how fragile the locker-room chemistry of teams here can be so it would be kinda important to get this feel-good win against a tough defensive team in the Thibodeau’s Knicks.

The point-guard rotation — It is interesting to see how the point-guard rotation musters out under Wes Unsfeld, Jr. Cassius Winston won’t be suiting up for this one due to a hamstring strain and it would be wise not to log too much minutes on Dinwiddies’ knees so early on in the year. Can Holiday and Neto supply meaningful offense in the minutes they’re on the floor? Can Avdija give that extra playmaking with the second unit?

Beal shooting funk — Beal shot 1-11 from the field in last game’s loss to the Raptors. Expect him to come all fired up to MSG.

Flashback: Thomas Bryant beats the Knicks in London using a...goaltend!

How many times in NBA history has a goaltending call decided a game? This one was quite spectacular:
