On Thursday evening, the Washington Wizards announced that they have added a new game to the first half of the season schedule while adjusting the start time of another game in February.
First, the Wizards will play the Miami Heat next Wednesday, Feb. 3, but that game will now start at 8 p.m. ET. The game was previously scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. The slight change in the game schedule is likely because the Wizards would have hosted the Portland Trail Blazers just one night before.
Second, a Boston Celtics home game that was previously scheduled for the second half will now be played in the first half. This game will be on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m. ET. Though it’s a Valentine’s Day game, couples can’t have a date night at Capital One Arena. They’ll just have to stay at home or go to a restaurant to watch Bradley Beal and Co. face off against Jayson Tatum and his crew.
Here’s hoping that these are the last rescheduled contests of this turbulent first half of the NBA season.
