What to look for

At an official level, the Wizards are just running out the clock until their last seeding game on Aug. 13 against the Boston Celtics. We know the Wizards just aren’t making the NBA Playoffs at this point because they lost last night to the Philadelphia 76ers.

That said, Thomas Bryant has emerged as the Wizards’ leading scorer and contributor since the restart officially began, while Troy Brown Jr. has also made the most of his time in these summer games.

For the Thunder, Chris Paul has led them in scoring (19.8 ppg) and assists (6.5 apg) since the seeding games started. It will be tough to slow him down. But if Brown and Ish Smith can keep him in check, you never know if the Wizards can pull off an upset. Washington hasn’t been totally run out of the gym in any game despite not winning. So you never know what’s going to happen. Hopefully, the Wizards can leave bubble play with at least one win.
