The Washington Wizards have yet to win a single game in the Orlando bubble, in large part because Bradley Beal is sitting this period out due to a shoulder injury (at least officially). And John Wall is out due to his Achilles tendon injury from last year.
That said, they are still taking part in team activities where they can.
According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports, the Wizards’ All-Star backcourt is watching team practices virtually and participating in team meetings. In addition, forward Davis Bertans is also taking part in these activities. Wall and Beal are also checking in with other players who are playing in the season restart, probably to give them a pep talk or general advice.
The coronavirus pandemic has given many players, especially long-term players like Beal and Wall a legitimate reason not to play during the season restart. However, that doesn’t mean that they are simply spending this summer sipping on Corona beers in their backyard. They are still taking part in team activities whenever possible.
