Pre-game notes
Another sort of back-to-back - After playing the Bucks at 9 p.m. Tuesday night, the Wizards will have sort of a back-to-back as they hit the court again at 12 p.m. Thursday.
Can the Wiz squeeze a W? Probably not. The seeding games have left a sour taste as the Wizards have looked dis-organized both on the court as well as on the sidelines. It’s not just about winning or losing, but also how you lose. And the Wizards’ losses weren’t all that pretty to watch. And the rotation dictated by Scott Brooks was not original enough, to be completely frank.
Where do the Wizards go from here? Hard to say, as Brooks hasn’t really offered much inspiration in terms of a long-term plan, except that he is anxiously waiting for John, Brad and Davis to team up with whatever other players Sheppard manages to put around them in next year’s reduced cap situation...
Will Brooks be extended, fired, or kept on probation? My guess, Brooks stays as the Wizards coach, but his contract is not extended until he can garner some sort of success next year. But, hey, it’s the Wizards, so maybe they do extend the Bubble’s most underperforming coach after all.
