On Tuesday morning, the Washington Wizards announced that Bradley Beal will not play in the NBA season restart due to a rotator cuff injury in his right shoulder. Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium was among the first to report the news.

According to a team release, Beal experienced shoulder discomfort since early in the regular season. As a result of this news, Beal will not travel with the team to Orlando, Florida.

The news comes just one day after head coach Scott Brooks announced that Beal would make the trip with the team. With Beal and Davis Bertans sitting out the rest of the 2019-20 NBA season, I think we can say that the Wizards are “dead on arrival” when it comes to their postseason chances.
