Earlier this week, Nike announced that all 30 teams, including the Washington Wizards, will wear a jersey that features the Jumpman logo. The “Statement” jersey will be the one jersey that features Michael Jordan’s likeness. Coincidentally, Jordan played for the Wizards in 2001-03 as part of his second comeback.

The Wizards’ statement jersey this season is their blue uniform with the “District of Columbia” wordmark. Jerseys generally do not change much from season to season, so you can expect next season’s Statement jersey to be the same, but with a Jumpman logo instead of a swoosh.

The Charlotte Hornets are the only NBA team that wears Jumpman logo apparel for every game. After all, Jordan is the team owner. But at least for next season, every team, including the Wizards will get their chance to don the popular brand without requesting a trade to Charlotte. And for Rui Hachimura, that should only be an added bonus, since he is already a Jordan Brand athlete.
