The 2019-20 NBA season is coming back. And so are the Washington Wizards!
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the league will invite 22 teams, 13 from the Western Conference and nine from the Eastern Conference to resume their season in Orlando, Florida. Since the Wizards are ninth in the Eastern Conference, they will still resume their season.
So the NBA's inviting 22 teams to Orlando: 13 Western Conference, 9 Eastern Conference. Eight-regular season games per team. Play-in for the 8th seeds. July 31-October 12. Vote tomorrow to ratify.

The NBA's back.
There will be eight regular season games for each of the teams. If the Wizards can finish within four game of the eighth place Orlando Magic, then they will enter a play-in tournament. But if they remain over four games behind, then the eighth seed will make the Eastern Conference playoffs without a tournament.
The play-in format requires a double-elimination format for the 8th seed, a single-elimination for the 9th seed, per sources.

The NBA Board of Governors will vote to ratify this officially tomorrow. Barring something unexpected, the Wizards will be playing games again on July 31. The last day of the NBA season (Game 7 of the NBA Finals will be on October 12.
We will have more on this in the days ahead.
