John Wall will not be playing games for the Wizards when their season continues in Florida next month. However, he is hesitant about playing in principle, saying “I just don’t feel like it’s safe.” The coronavirus pandemic is still going on and several states have experienced spikes.
In Caron Butler’s “The Tuff Juice” podcast, Wall mentioned that if he were healthy, it wasn’t worth playing eight games. “What am I going, just to play eight games? I’m not going for just eight games and then coming back home.”
In addition, Wall also talked about social issues including racial inequality, where there have been marches for three weeks in many cities, including Washington.
Wall is among the first Wizards players to express reservations about the season continuing, but he is among a group of players who share similar opinions, including Kyrie Irving and Dwight Howard.
