The NBA is in “exploratory conversations” to hold remaining 2019-20 season games with the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, according to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.

If negotiations are successful, the Orlando, Florida-based site would be the only place where games are held and play would resume in late July. Other sites in consideration include casino-resorts in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Washington Wizards are currently 20-44, ninth in the Eastern Conference. It remains to be seen how many games they have left to play, and whether the NBA Playoffs will be expanded to include more than 16 teams due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It is expected that there will be more detailed plans on how to ramp up training for the homestretch of the 2019-20 NBA season around June 1.
