In an otherwise normal world, today would have been the last regular season game of the Washington Wizards’ 2019-20 season. We would have seen Bradley Beal and the gang host the Indiana Pacers at Capital One Arena before the players do their exit interviews and take their vacations. After all, the Wizards were likely missing the 2019 NBA Playoffs.
However, the current season was suspended since Mar. 11 when Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert was diagnosed with the COVID-19 coronavirus. And furthermore, sports has been on hiatus. Really, you can’t watch any live sports of significance.
It’s great to see that we have stuff to talk about. John Morrow and Matt Modderno have hit the ground running with NBA Draft content. And the Mystics have Tina Charles now without having to trade a core player away.
But ultimately, I really wish that we could have had real games to talk about. Stay safe out there everyone.
