Why can't Wall be the next Dominique Wilkins Story

Dom was an amazing story regarding his recovery from an Achilles injury.

Surprised it hadn’t been posted or if it has, a main reference for the best outcome range for Wall.

DOM was an AS after his Achilles in his 30s

He says, More fundamentally sound after the injury. He become more skilled after it. More grounded basketball player. His words.

Rose Colored Glasses on and Pitcher of Koolaid on the Table
I think Wall will be able to adjust.I have high hopes he can figure this out.

Wall has a few things to his advantage.

He is a 6-4 210 strong great visual court awareness player.
Great hand eye coordination / quick hands
He has something of a 3 ball now which he should be working on improving while he is out.
He had progressed from his early years of pure speed to learning how to better change speed. Needs to learn from Beal how to draw more fouls without falling on the ground.

And, Wall is driven. He has that athletic ego. He isn’t a wall flower. Now sometimes I think that he hasn’t focus all that the best he could, but I think he still can. That's was my wisdom comment I made in threads. He has gone through this. Its a eye opener. He will be more willing to adjust now then before because he will be forced to. May as well embrace it. I think Wall is smart enough to figure this out.

He needs to go through his process and then like DOM, if he has faith to put this behind him, he might find its still there. I personally believe Wall is that brave of a dude. I believe he can and will make that mental leap when the moment arrives.

I think he will look at everything about him, the team, etc and figure out what time it is and what to do to maximize what he can offer the team first and then take it from there. Its not about 20 an 10 anymore. He got paid. Its just about winning and the team at this point. Showing he can be a contributor and a winner. If that’s 14 pts 8 assists and they win, Wall will be happy at this point. I won't have believe that possible before with who he was, where the team was, etc. But I think he can go there now much more. Way easier for him to go there now given everything.

Wall should be able to at least get to Sato level. That would be a huge upgrade over IT.

Right ? Who thinks he won’t be better then Sato ?

So at a min, we have a 40M Sato. That’s better then spending that Wall money with no Wall and paying IT who sucked.

Massive upgrade

I expect a bit more then that from Wall, but even bare min, that a huge upgrade for the team. We should be a lot better defensively with Wall replacing IT.
