The Washington Wizards lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 106-99 on Sunday night at Capital One Arena.

Washington started strong in the first half with a 30-18 lead in the first quarter and led 55-47 at halftime with Bradley Beal and Rui Hachimura having strong starts. Beal finished with 26 points while Hachimura had 12. Moritz Wagner added 19 off the bench.

Still, Memphis stayed feisty and kept chipping into the lead. Ultimately, Washington was held to just 16 percent shooting in the fourth quarter whlie Ja Morant scored 10 of his 27 points to seal the deal for Memphis, who now moved above the .500 mark with a 27-26 record. If that weren’t enough, Morant had a triple double as well.

Washington is still ninth in the Eastern Conference with an 18-33 record

The Wizards will have one more game in their homestand when they face off against one of their good ole’ friends, Tomas Satoransky the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. ET.
