Shabazz Napier makes a great first impression in his Wizards debut

The Wizards point guard scored 14 points in his debut Friday night against the Dallas Mavericks.

On Friday night, Washington Wizards point guard Shabazz Napier scored 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting, including four threes in their 119-118 win against the Dallas Mavericks. His performance brought a spark for Washington and showed the potential impact he can make on the team for the rest of the season.

Napier has scored in double digits four five consecutive games including his time with the Minnesota Timberwolves. It was a bit early to say that Napier should replace Ish Smith as the starting point guard in Washington’s lineup. But he could be a better-rounded player than Isaiah Thomas earlier this season.
