The Washington Wizards may not have an All-Star in this year’s game, but they will certainly be alive and well for weekend festivities.
On Tuesday, the announced that Davis Bertans will take part in the 2020 NBA 3-Point contest. Candace Buckner of The Washington Post was among the first to report that Bertans was invited.
Most of the All-Star 3-Point Shooting contestants have been revealed and I’m hearing #Wizards sharpshooting forward Davis Bertans has in fact been invited to participate.

Bertans ranks fourth in the NBA with a .422 3-pt FG%.
Bertans shot 144-of-336 from three point range this year. Despite missing some games, he is tied for ninth in made threes with Boston Celtics guard Kemba Walker for games played up to Feb. 3. Bertans’ three-point shooting percentage is also very good at 42.9 percent.
Here is a list of the other participants in the contest.
- • Devonte’ Graham, Charlotte Hornets
- Joe Harris, Brooklyn Nets
- Buddy Hield, Sacramento Kings
- Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls
- Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers
- Duncan Robinson, Miami Heat
- Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks
The contest will be held in Chicago during NBA All-Star Weekend on Saturday, Feb. 15. Yes, I know that there is another trade rumor on him, but I’m happy for Bertans nevertheless.
