As the Washington Wizards continue to shake off some All-Star break rust, they host the league’s leading team, the Milwaukee Bucks, seemingly en route to a historic winning record in their franchise history. After struggling with the Cavaliers, it seems a stretch to ask for anything but a solid effort, but, hey, the Wizards have surprised some great teams here in D.C.
When: Monday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. ET
Where: Capital One Arena, Washington, D.C.
How to watch: NBC Sports Washington
Wizards: Wait, none ?!? Besides John Wall of course.
Bucks: Kyle Korver (Out).
Defense — There is a theory that now that IT is gone, the Wizards will greatly improve on D. But that still probably won’t help against a lethal team such as Milwaukee. They space the floor so well, while the Wizards are notoriously bad with defending space. I’m clearly not optimistic here, unless the Bucks catch an off shooting night.
Thomas Bryant — TB has gotten some criticism for his lackluster defense. Now, that IT is gone, it’s on him to prove the naysayers wrong. And no better way to prove that then by defening the Greek Freak. Good luck.
Flashback: The Bucks show up for scrimmage
A month ago the Wizards travelled up north to get a good pounding by the Bucks. In an effortless (and defenseless) game the bucks dropped 151, that’s right... Watch for yourselves:
