Pregame Notes

Washington Wizards are back from the All-Star break focusing on a potential playoff push for the eighth seed. This will be the third and final meeting between the Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers as the season series is tied at one. The Cavs are on paper worst in the East, while Washington sits about three games out of the final seed.

Many are wondering, which I personally doubt, was if the Wizards make the playoffs, will we see John Wall. And personally I doubt it and don’t want that to happen. A fresh John Wall to start off a new season is a better than a playoff pressured John Wall just to most likely get ousted in the first round (opponent being most likely the Milwaukee Bucks).

Our very own Kevin Broom knows the Wizards, if aiming for the playoffs, need to stay focused on the future. This is exactly right as Washington has to get to the point where they have a solid team that can compete regularly every season. Or even better yet a team that’s considered as a playoff contender instead of an afterthought.
