Wizards thank John Wall in a full page ad on The Washington Post

Once a Wizard, always a Wizard.

On Sunday, the Washington Wizards had a full page advertisement on The Washington Post dedicated as a thank you for former point guard John Wall.

The text of the ad says:

Thank you for all you have done for D.C.

From the memories you created on the court with your All-Star play

To the memories you created off the court for so many in the community

YOU WILL ALWAYS BE PART OF THE DC FAMILY

Wall played 10 years for the franchise from 2010-20. He was the first overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft and was a five-time All-Star from 2014-18. Wall led the Wizards to four playoff appearances in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018. In the 2016-17 NBA season, the Wizards won the Southeast Division and advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals where they lost to the Boston Celtics in seven games.
