The Washington Wizards aren’t playing but I think you will enjoy these two matchups.

The Washington Wizards aren’t playing today. They will tomorrow. But today is still the official first day of the 2020-21 NBA regular season. There are two matches on tonight:

Brooklyn Nets vs. Golden State Warriors

Where and when tonight: Brooklyn, NY at 7 p.m. ET

How to watch: TNT

This game features Kevin Durant who will make his debut with the Nets though he signed with them last year. That’s because he tore his Achilles in the 2019 NBA Finals while playing with the Warriors. Yes, he’s facing his old team. And we’ll also see the head coaching debut of former NBA star and two-time MVP Steve Nash. The Warriors have Stephen Curry back, but Klay Thompson is out for the season and they aren’t the favorites in the Western Conference anymore. Should be a very intriguing match.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Los Angeles Clippers

Where and when tonight: Los Angeles, CA at 7 p.m. ET

How to watch: TNT

The defending champs are back in action less than two months after winning the hardware. They’ll face their crosstown rivals who return the potent duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. I’m really intrigued with Serge Ibaka’s addition to the squad as well. The Clippers should still be among the better teams in the NBA this season, but the Lakers will have the upper hand here.

Enjoy the games everyone.
