On Tuesday, Washington Wizards forward Rui Hachimura spoke with the media during a “Media Week.” There is no “Media Day” per se because of the coronavirus pandemic.
You can watch the video of Hachimura’s comments below.

In his media availability, Hachimura gave an optimistic prediction on the Wizards this season, saying that he thought they will make the 2021 NBA Playoffs. With Bradley Beal returning and John Wall back from an Achilles injury, there’s reason to believe that it’s possible if the team hits the ground running. In a best case scenario, Beal and Wall could be playing like they did the 2016-17 season when Wizards advanced to the second round of the NBA Playoffs and won the Southeast Division.
Hachimura also has been working on his three point shooting and is looking forward to playing at a fast pace, especially with Wall’s return.
While I can appreciate Hachimura’s optimism, I don’t think the Wizards are making the playoffs this season, at least in a normal non-pandemic year. Regardless, I do look forward to seeing how the Wizards start this season so we can put all the speculation to rest.
