Pregame Notes
The Wizards will end the preseason with the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. Washington previously played Detroit on Thursday losing 97-86. That game was Bradley Beal’s debut for the preseason playing only around 15 minutes scoring 10 points. It’ll be expected he’ll play around the same amount of minutes right before the regular season begins.
Russell Westbrook didn’t play and doubt he plays on Saturday as Coach Scott Brooks expects to continuing resting him. There’s still no certainty on the Wizards definite starters besides Beal, Westbrook and Thomas Bryant. Saturday against the Pistons could be the deciding factor and possibly a few games into the regular season.
There’s still the wonder of the small forward position between Deni Avdija and Troy Brown Jr. Avdija had a bad game against Detroit but excelled over the Nets. Still only time will tell.
Let's be honest here everyone is still waiting for Beal and Westbrook to finally play together. After all the drama during the offseason, it’s time we see what everyone can do together.
