The Washington Wizards trade guard Jerome Robinson, a future 2nd round pick and ca$h to the Cleveland Cavaliers, who trade wing Kevin Porter to the Los Angeles Clippers, who trade guard Landry Shamet to the Washington Wizards. The first 3-team trade here at The Deal.

Why do the Clippers do the deal?

New head oach Tyronn Lue blames Shamet for the playoff loss. Ty Lue prefers the long term of Kevin Porter (USC)? IDK. Oh! They get the most recent first round pick out of the deal. Porter Jr is definitely more wing than guard too.

Shamet did have a slightly down year in LA as compared to Philly. :shrug emoji:

Why do the Cavaliers do the deal?

Cash! A future pick helps! And they receive a former lottery two-way guard? The coach they picked Kevin Porter to play for is gone? People, I want Landry Shamet and it’s happening.

Why do the Wizards do the deal?

We did it! Landry Shamet! A career 40 percent shooter from three after being drafted out of Wichita State. The 6’4 guard can play off of either John Wall, Bradley Beal, Ish Smith or Troy Brown Jr.

Shamet doesn’t do a lot of penetrating or creating which also means his turnover numbers are microscopic. His defense is... effortful. Did I mention his 3pt shooting?
