The original post is below.
Washington Wizards guard Garrison Mathews left during the first half of the Wizards’ game against the Boston Celtics in Jan. 6 due to an apparent right ankle injury.
The injury happened when he was moving around Celtics guard Jayson Tatum. Mathews was helped by team staff and did not return.
The Wizards are already thin depth-wise and losing Mathews would hurt considering how well he was playing off the bench recently. We will see how serious the injury is in the coming days.
