Pregame Notes

At this point in the season, what is Washington truly playing for here? Fighting for the eighth and final spot in the playoffs just seems pointless for the Wizards especially when they can’t even beats teams without their star player. Prime example was Tuesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks who were without Giannis Antetokounmpo. Washington just couldn’t get it done even with a 47-point effort from Bradley Beal.

Granted that is the top team in the NBA, but let’s be honest the Wizards weren’t exactly blowing out teams under .500 either. And for those who want John Wall to return just to get the final playoff spot....GET REAL!! It’s time to face the facts this season has long been done before it got started.

The real question for Washington going into Thursday night’s game and forward is what exactly do they need and how exactly can they get where they need to be.
