Jordan McRae continues his stellar January and career season with 29 points vs. Hawks

The Washington Wizards guard is making the most out of his extended playing time month.

Washington Wizards guard Jordan McRae has been scoring at a high rate in January. So far, he is averaging 19.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in six games played. In his latest performance last Friday, McRae scored 29 points and made 4-of-5 three pointers against the Atlanta Hawks while adding 8 rebounds and dishing 6 assists. Watch his highlights in the video above.

McRae is in his fourth NBA season, but he is averaging a career-high 13.5 points and 2.9 assists per game in the season while making 46.3 percent of his threes.

Since other guards like Bradley Beal and CJ Miles have been sidelined, McRae has been taking advantage of his additional playing time since recovering from a finger injury earlier this season himself. Without his performances, Washington probably wouldn’t be 3-3 so far in January.

Hopefully, McRae will continue getting his fair share of minutes once Beal at least returns.
