Can Bradley Beal make the All-NBA team in 2020?

There are many very good guards that will be playing in the 2019-20 NBA season. And the Wizards are almost certain to be headed for the June 2020 NBA draft lottery, which will work against any of their players receiving recognition for end of 2019-20 season awards. In 2018-19 Bradley Beal had one of the best individual performances on offense ever produced by a Wizards/Bullets player. In addition, he rebounded the ball well for a guard, and he was very active (and reasonably effective) on defense.

I do not personally question the 2018-19 All-NBA guard selections (Curry, Harden, Lillard, Irving, Walker and Westbrook). Half of those guards (Irving, Walker and Westbrook) will be on different teams for the 2019-20 season, and I think that they all will need to play a different role than they did last season. There are other guards who, like Beal, were worthy of consideration for a 2018-19 All-NBA team, and some of these players (e.g., Simmons, Mitchell, Conley, Holiday, Booker) could match or even exceed their production/level of play from last season.

Bradley Beal increased his name recognition quite a bit over the past year. I think he will follow up last season's performance with another season of averaging more than 22 points per game. Playing alongside Isaiah Thomas and Ish Smith we should see Beal increase his assists per game to well over 6 (I just read that coach Scott Brooks thinks Beal can get close to averaging a ppg-apg double-double). And because Beal is a very smart and hardworking player, I expect that he will be better on defense in 2019-20 than he was in prior seasons.

If Beal stays healthy enough to play more than 70 games in 2019-20, I expect to see him make the All-NBA team. I would be interested in reading what other Wizards fans think about the likelihood of Bradley Beal being selected for a 2019-20 All-NBA team.
