The Wizards lost to the Nets on Monday, 88-85. Rui Hachimura led Washington with 19 points and 7 rebounds while Troy Brown scored 16 points and Troy Caupain added 15 more.

Like the first game on Saturday, the Wizards started off on the wrong foot. Hachimura struggled to get make his shots early but got into a better rhythm as the game went on.

Washington was able to claw their way to a 40-33 lead at halftime but a 34-22 run by the Nets in the third quarter ultimately was too much for Washington to overcome. The Wizards were able to get the deficit down to a single possession multiple times. However, Brooklyn had an answer every time.

The most emphatic comeback play happened at the buzzer when Caupain attempted a three-point shot at the buzzer but saw it blocked instead,.

One of the bright spots of the day was seeing the debut of Moritz Wagner. He scored 8 points and made a couple dunks including this one while cutting to the basket.

The Wizards will play the Clippers on Tuesday at 11:30 p.m. ET in their next game. You can it on NBA TV.
