The Wizards won against the Pelicans on Saturday night, 84-79.
Troy Brown led the Wizards with 18 points and 15 rebounds.
Kavell Bigby-Williams was the Pelicans’ top performer where he had 14 points and 14 rebounds. Trevon Bluiett scored 23 more to lead all scorers.
The first quarter was just rough to watch. Both teams were struggling on both ends of the floor. Washington shot just 29.2 percent from the field and New Orleans wasn’t much better. Things just didn’t improve much in the second.
But in the third quarter, Washington finally started playing with more fluidity. Hachimura made this block.
Not sure what's more impressive here from Rui Hachimura: the block or avoiding tearing half the ligaments in his body. pic.twitter.com/3gM3hPSip4

The Wizards outscored the Pelicans, 26-15 in that quarter, shooting 52.2 percent from the field while holding New Orleans to just 33.3 percent shooting.
New Orleans came back in the fourth quarter, but Brown made an and-one layup with 18.4 seconds left to ice this one for D.C.
Washington’s next game is on Monday, July 8 against the Brooklyn Nets.
