BIG3 Week 6 Recap: Joe Johnson gets Triplets back in win column over Ball Hogs

Gilbert Arenas’ team didn’t play. But the Joe Johnson and Josh Smith are still firing on all cylinders!

Last weekend, Gilbert Arenas and the Enemies did not play due to a scheduled bye-week. But there was still plenty of action in the BIG3 nevertheless. Here’s what went down last Saturday at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.


Bivouac (3-3) squeaked by the Aliens (2-4) 50-47. Josh Smith was fantastic in the match, scoring 18 points and grabbing 18 rebounds for the winners. Smith also made a walk-off game-winner. Take a look at his swag below after that shot.

Anthony Morrow also added 17 points for Bivouac. For the Aliens, Brandon Rush scored 23 points, which included three three-point shots and a four-pointer.

The other two matches on Saturday were comfortable wins. First, 3’s Company beat the Killer 3’s 51-41 in the first match of the day. Andre Emmett scored 24 points and grabbed 14 rebound in the game which included a four-point shot.

The Triplets (5-1) also blew out the Ball Hogs (0-6) 51-34 just one week after losing their first match of the season to Power.

Joe Johnson and Co. made easy work out of their winless opponents. Johnson scored 21 points in the game which included three three-pointers and one four-point shot as he stays in contention for the BIG3 MVP race. Take a look at the highlights from the match below.
