The Wizards will hold an NBA Draft workout for North Carolina freshmen Nassir Little and Coby White on Monday, June 17. The work out will be held at the MedStar Wizards Performance Center in Congress Heights, D.C.
We wrote about Little, who averaged 9.8 points and 4.6 rebounds in his freshman season. His athleticism could help him become one of the NBA’s top defenders over time. But like many other super-athletic players, he is overdependent on jumping and running past people. That works as a 20-year-old. Not so much later on. Anyway, Sports Illustrated lists him as the No. 14 best prospect in their Top-100 draft board.
White is by far the highest ranked player to come to one of the Wizards’ workouts. He is ranked the No. 5 prospect by Sports Illustrated and is one of the top point guard prospects in this draft class. He averaged 16.1 points and 4.1 assists for the Tar Heels last season. We will publish his prospect profile on Monday morning.
