On Tuesday, I wrote that we should just accept that Tommy Sheppard will be the Wizards’ general manager or basketball decision maker for awhile. The NBA Draft is just eight days away (or June 20, 2019) and hiring a new long-term leader may actually do more harm than good.
At any rate, the Wizards announced on Wednesday that they will host a draft party at the Entertainment and Sports Arena (ESA) in Congress Heights, D.C. Press releases also noted that Wizards head coach Scott Brooks and Sheppard will give updates to fans while making decisions in a draft room.
The Wizards have yet to reveal their next GM, but did announce a draft party for fans at St. E's on June 20. The perks for attending include " Senior VP of Basketball Operations Tommy Sheppard and Head Coach Scott Brooks will share updates from the draft room."

At the Wizards draft part at ESA, Troy Brown Jr. and Jordan McRae will make appearances. Senior VP of Basketball Operations Tommy Sheppard and head coach Scott Brooks will share updates from the draft room. The first 500 fans to arrive will receive a t-shirt.

Contrary to some other tweets, they are NOT holding the Draft Party at the adjacent practice facility.
In past years when the Wizards were in the Draft Lottery (ex. 2010-12), season ticket holders had amenities like complimentary food and drink. It is unclear whether that will happen this year.
