Wizards vs. Celtics GameThread

It’s the last game of the NBA season. After that, we can start venting about the Wizards and what they do from here.

NBA: Washington Wizards at Boston Celtics
Tomas Satoransky and the Washington Wizards will look to avoid a 50-loss season. But fans wouldn’t mind if they did.

The Wizards host the Celtics tonight at 7 p.m. ET. Watch the game on TNT nationally. NBC Sports Washington won’t have the game locally, which I guess is a reward for color analyst Kara Lawson who missed the games this past weekend for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four.

Finally, you can listen to the game on Federal News Radio 1500 AM or the Wizards mobile app.

It wasn’t long ago when the Wizards were supposed to win 50 regular season games, right? Well, the Wizards are still on track for 50 of something. 50 losses. This season has been nothing short of an embarrassment all around. They may actually have 50 losses instead of 50 wins, their original stated goal before the regular season.

Injuries to Dwight Howard and John Wall are partly to blame. But poor coaching decisions on playing time and Ernie Grunfeld’s continued mismanagement of the salary cap led to this. A relatively meaningless game tonight that’s on national TV.

Hopefully the young players and Bradley Beal can put up a nice performance tonight to close out a stinker of a year.

Go Wizards.
