NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament
After the first round of the dance, here are some early thoughts.
- The regional teams like the Virginia Cavaliers, Maryland Terrapins, Virginia Tech Hokies and Liberty Flames all advanced. Kinds disappointed in UVA’s first half performance but they won this time!
- Didn’t expect to see Ohio State advance to the 2nd round vs. Iowa State.
- Ja Morant is a beast!
he main local matchup is Maryland taking on LSU which is at 12 p.m. ET today.

NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament
There are still 16 first-round NCAA women’s basketball matches. But if there’s any indication of how yesterday went, there will be some upsets in the horizon.
Iowa, Marquette, Miami and Florida State didn’t play very well in their first round matches and could be primed for early exits before the Sweet Sixteen next week.
I’m still mulling over which seniors could be fits for the Mystics in the WNBA Draft next month. They’ll pick 10th after the big names are picked. But that’s what happens when your team has a great season and makes the WNBA Finals!
