In February, Gilbert Arenas announced that he will play for the BIG3 Basketball League this summer. The BIG3 is a 3x3 league that features many recently retired NBA players and is quickly gaining popularity. It is founded in part by rapper and actor Ice Cube.

Since Arenas’ announcement, there hasn’t been that much information regarding what team he would play for until Thursday when the BIG3 tweeted that he will play for and captain the “Enemies,” one of four new BIG3 teams this summer.

The rest of Arenas’ roster has not been named yet. Now that Arenas has a BIG3 team to call his own, will he try to assemble some former Wizards of the mid 2000s like DeShawn Stevenson, Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison and/or Brendan Haywood? Or will he play with a group of unheralded but still talented players?

The BIG3 is certainly one way for NBA fans to get their fix of basketball and still appreciate the games of recently retired players who can still impress on the court. It will be interesting to see who joins Arenas’ team in the coming months.
