The Wizards play the Bulls tonight at 7 p.m. ET. Watch the game on NBC Sports Washington. Listen to it on Federal News Radio 1500 AM or the Wizards Mobile App.
Today, the Wizards get a second chance to face off against Otto Porter. Unfortunately, Porter has a shoulder injury and is ruled out. That’s a shame because he has otherwise flourished for Chicago and it’s fun seeing these kinds of games. It is also true that the Bulls are not heading to the postseason so there also isn’t that much of a need to play him unnecessarily.
For what it’s worth, Porter probably doesn’t care. After all, he was more or less on the “wrong side” of the blame when fingers were getting pointed assuming Stan Van Gundy’s spot-on with this comment:
Stan Van Gundy on Otto Porter: "He became the whipping boy in Washington. He was the guy that got pointed to as not giving them enough. Now the pressure is off of him, he can be more aggressive and play more freely and we're seeing an improved Otto Porter." (h/t @CandaceDBuckner) pic.twitter.com/9l5N84CAWi

Hopefully we’ll see the Wizards put forth a good effort tonight with the younger players. That said, I am not surprised to see Bradley Beal play another 40 minutes tonight.
Anyway, go Wizards.
