What to Watch for
Jabari Parker & Bobby Portis vs. Otto Porter Part Deux?
During the first matchup after the Bulls and Wizards trade, Jabari Parker put on quite a display with numerous highlight dunks on his way to 20 points. His game was a clear statement after the Bulls gave up on him in the first year of a two-year deal. What will he and Bobby Portis do for an encore?
On the other side of the deal, Porter is listed as day-to-day and did not play in the Bulls’ win over Phoenix Monday night. But if he’s cleared to play on Wednesday, he could make a statement of his own. He’s averaging 19.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists per game with a .609 true shooting percentage since going to Chicago.
Will the rotations change soon?
Much has been made about how much Bradley Beal has played this season. He is the league leader in minutes played and putting together a strong argument to make All-NBA this season. With that said, after the Wizards loss on Monday night, they have fallen 4.5 games out of the eighth and final playoff spot with only 11 games left in the season.
Since it is the first game of a back-to-back, it will be interesting to see if the Wizards continue to play Beal as much and continue with the same rotations or if the team will play Beal less to preserve his health and give some of the younger players a look with the season winding down.
