On Monday, the NBA announced that Bradley Beal was the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played from Monday, Mar. 11 to Sunday, Mar. 17. This is the second time he has earned the award in the 2018-19 season and the third time he won it overall.
Beal averaged 32.5 points, 7.0 assists and 6.3 assists per game over four contests while shooting over 52.3 percent from the field. The Wizards also won three of those four games.
In each of his last two games, Beal scored 40 points while shooting over 50 percent from the field. In Saturday’s win over the Memphis Grizzlies, Beal shot 12-of-17 from the field and a career-best 9-of-12 from the three-point line.
Though the Wizards have played poorly this season, Beal has otherwise been a bright spot for the team. He has kept the Wizards entertaining with his strong play each and every night. Watching Beal play this season has been a treat.
