The Wizards play the Chicago Bulls tonight at 8 p.m. ET. You can watch it locally on NBC Sports Washington PLUS. Or you can listen to the game on Federal News Radio 1500 AM or the Wizards Mobile App.
Sometimes, it’s several months before we see an old friend as an opponent. But in Otto Porter’s case, he and the Bulls will face off against Washington just a few days after he was traded to the Windy City.
Yesterday, Porter scored 18 points and shot 7-of-9 in his debut for the Bulls in a 125-106 win over the Brooklyn Nets. It’s still kinda surreal seeing Porter in another team’s uniform for the first time. Just like it is surreal seeing Bobby Portis in a Washington uniform one year after he bumped into Tomas Satoransky on a dunk attempt.
I don’t know what to expect tonight besides this. The Wizards need to win the game to save the front office’s face. I get many of you don’t want that. At the same time, the Wizards are performing a bit too well to realistically “contend” for Zion Williamson.
Go Wizards.
