Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 30 points, all in the first three quarters.
Rui Hachimura had his first bad night of the season, going 2-of-11 from the field for just four points.
Andrew Wiggins led Minnesota with 21 points.
The Wizards’ next game is on Monday against the Detroit Pistons. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. ET. It is also Washington’s first game against an Eastern Conference opponent this season.
