Pregame notes

Look out for newly signed Anzejs Pasecniks and Jalen Jones

Washington has made adjustments to their roster ahead of their last pre-season game Friday against the Sixers. The team has signed 7-foot Latvian Anzejs Pasecniks and Jalen Jones to exhibit 10 contracts. Pasecniks, a Center, was drafted 25th in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic but was acquired by the Sixers. Jones last played overseas for Kirolbet Baskonia of the Liga ACB. The 26-year-old was waived by the Cavaliers in January 2019.

ICYMI, the Wizards waived Booth, Anderson, Jones

Wednesday afternoon, Washington announced they waived forwards Justin Anderson and Jemerrio Jones and guard Phil Booth. Out of the three, Anderson was the most impressive, averaging 9.8 points in four games in the preseason. His most notable game was the second preseason matchup against the Knicks where he scored 15 points in his 19 minutes of play.

The Sixers are undefeated in preseason

Washington, who lost its last game against the Bucks on Sunday, will face another talented team. The Sixers have not lost a preseason game and the Wizards are going to have to put in work to keep the game competitive. Ben Simmons and Al Horford did not play in the last matchup but if they do suit up, Washington will have a lot of work on their plate.
