The Washington Wizards play tomorrow against the New York Knicks. We will cover that game tomorrow. Most of the team traveled to New York, but they did so in Washington Mystics jerseys as a sign of “Monumental solidarity” with their sister team.

But a few Wizards stayed in the nation’s capital for Thursday night’s game when the Mystics won Game 5 of the WNBA Finals (and the WNBA championship) against the Connecticut Sun. John Wall and Bradley Beal were in attendance, cheering every made basket in solidarity with their fellow colleagues on the WNBA team.

For those of you who think that the Wizards are paid money to support the Mystics or what have you, come on! These guys have practiced alongside female players since their days in high school, if not earlier. They understand the trials and tribulations that are needed to play at a high level, whether in preps. college or the pros.
Of all the NBA and WNBA teams that play in the same city, the Wizards and Mystics have as good of a relationship as any team duo anywhere! I’m really happy to see that the Wizards supported the Mystics in this one!
